Connecting and enhancing the Mind, Body, and Spirit.
Individual therapy varies from client to client, depending on the client's needs. I work with clients from ages seven and up. We work together on anxiety, depression, PTSD, stress, shame, self-expression, emotional dysregulation, compassion fatigue, interpersonal conflicts, self-esteem, life transitions, ADD/ADHD, and emotional challenges from living with a learning disability.
I offer video teleconferencing telehealth therapy sessions using a HIPAA compliant encrypted platform for individual therapy. We will work on many of the same concerns as individual face-to-face sessions, so it will be necessary for clients to have a private distraction-free area for these sessions.
Animal-Assisted Therapy (AAT) is a positive intervention for individuals and groups. The therapy dogs at Forest Alliance Coaching are called Shadow Scouts and may be incorporated into the therapy sessions. The Shadow Scouts are also used in group settings and travel to schools, events, and hospitals. The benefits of AAT are decreasing stress levels, reducing anger, improving social interactions, increasing self-esteem, and teaching mindfulness.
Nature has a profound impact on our mind, body, and spirit. During the nature/forest therapy session, you will enter a journey of discovery, restoration, and increased wellness. You will learn to let go of your life stressors and enhance your ability to be mindful. Nature/forest therapy offers you time to relax and destress in a natural environment. Individual and group sessions are available.
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) Therapy is an evidence-based practice for treating Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) symptoms and relieving the psychological effects of trauma. EMDR therapy accesses the brain's natural mechanisms for processing upsetting experiences. EMDR therapy works to rewire the memory networks that trigger our emotional and physical reactions. While working together you will be able to heal from your past and develop a healthier sense of self.
Group therapy provides clients with the opportunity to meet others with similar concerns. The shared experience can be invaluable as a part of treatment and support. The group approach is designed to support and supplement the work of individual therapy. It is not a substitute for individual therapy. Groups are time-limited and are held a few times a year.
